Европейский союз активно поддерживает Международный уголовный суд (МУС). Принципы Римского Статута МУС, полностью соответствуют принципиальным целям деятельности ЕС. Консолидация законности, уважение прав человека, сохра- нение мира и укрепление международной безопасности, сотрудничество в борьбе с серьезными преступлениями, которые подпадают под юрисдикцию МУС, а также наказание лиц, совершивших такие преступления, являются основополагающими направлениями деятельности ЕС. В статье рассматриваются особенности пра- вового регулирования и деятельности ЕС по имплементации Римского Статута Международного уголовного суда и поддержке его деятельности.
