В статье анализируется кластер формализованных методов управления политическими рисками бизнеса. Причинами роста их популярности в середине 1990-х оказываются невысокие требования к качеству «входящей» аналитики, прозрачные и легко интегрируемые в общий менеджмент механизмы работы, а также гарантированная результативность. Тем не менее, формализованные методы (страхование политических рисков, структурное финансирование и т.д.) не стали универсальными: они не имеют превентивного эффекта, редко позволяют регулировать стоимость и вероятность риска, и, наконец, зачастую требуют подготовленной «почвы» для их применения
