В условиях борьбы с последствиями мирового финансового кризиса президент США Б. Обама в январе 2010 года объявил о Национальной экспортной инициативе, направленной на удвоение американского экспорта в течение ближайших пяти лет. Реализация инициативы во многом зависит от эффективности основных инструментов внешнеэкономической политики США. К их числу относятся экономические санкции, которые в последние два десятилетия стали одним из основных элементов американской политики в отношении целого ряда стран. В статье анализируется американская система экономических санкций, в частности, осуществляется их систематизация, изучается практика США по их использованию, оценивается их эффективность, влияние на российско-американские отношения и внешнеэкономические интересы России.
