Данная статья представляет собой поиск ответа на вопрос о том, насколько привлечение накопленных знаний о мире и инструментария квантовой физики может быть уместно для изучения социальной и политической действительности в рамках политической теории и теории международных отношений. Непосредственным поводом к написанию статьи послужил выход книги известного представителя конструктивизма в политической теории А. Вендта «Квантовый мозг», в которой автор предпринимает попытку в первом приближении оценить потенциал того, что квантовая физика способна дать политологам, социологам и исследователям-международникам. Следуя логике А. Вендта, авторский коллектив описывает потенциальные возможности конвергенции ряда элементов разнородных, на первый взгляд, дисциплин и отмечает те моменты, которые могут стать принципиальными при дальнейших исследованиях на данную тему. Возможность применения методологии и категориального аппарата квантовой физики в политической теории и теории международных отношений, прежде всего, видится в рассуждениях о проблеме отношений агента и структуры, изучение которой является одной из «визитных карточек» социального конструктивизма. В то же время в рамках данной темы существует целый ряд проблемных вопросов, которые не позволяют в полной мере говорить о том, что агент-структурные отношения являются в полной и достаточной мере изученными. Одним из таких вопросов является тезис о динамическом взаимоконструировании агента и структуры, что, в конечном счёте, приводит к заключению о том, что конструктивистская картина мира носит во многом механистический и детерминированный характер. Опираясь на ряд основополагающих понятий квантовой физики, авторский коллектив приходит к выводу, что научный поиск в этом направлении может быть продолжен и способен привести к новым выводам относительно агент-структурных отношений.

The article deals with the evolution of constructivist paradigm of international relations. The issue is of utmost importance in terms of the search for theoretical alternatives in the IR thinking. First, we are giving basic introduction of constructivism on the basis of historical and hermeneutical approaches. There is no doubt that the paradigm has faced different theoretical challenges and a lot of critics which has to be addressed. The authors reconsider some constructivist theories and notions in Alexander Wendt's works and the way Wendt tried to reinforce and reassure the constructivist paradigm. This allows us to claim that quantum turn in recent Wendt's work was almost inevitable. Second, the article attempts to answer a question whether the fundamentals of quantum physics are relevant when speaking about social and political processes. At first glance, quantum physics approach has nothing in common with the theory of politics and the theory of international relations. However, there are some grounds to believe that certain problem issues of the political science and IR theory are not deadlocks. In the second part of the article we use the unleashed and underestimated potential of analytical philosophy. To conclude, we believe that today there are more questions than answers but the quantum paradigm is expected to be the important part of the political studies and IR theory as well.
