Abstract
The school was established to meet the needs in diplomatic specialists with Central and Eastern European languages. The textbooks produced at the department are popular and widely used throughout the country. The department's faculty also conducts research, reflected in numerous publications Graduates of the school successfully work in the diplomatic service, as well as in teaching at MGIMO.
